It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer A. Mercer of Lake Alfred, Florida, who passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James C. Mercer and Sara E. Mercer of Wayside, Georgia.; his nephew Richard Skudlarek (Pamela); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Thomas Skudlarek, Kevin Skudlarek, Sara Skudlarek, Katelyn Austin and Kristen Austin; his close friend Peggy Eldridge; and also, Shannon Frady (Scott), Brenden "Kade" Akins, Toby Rush, Makayla Akins and Amy Fluty.
