With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Purvis Cason of Lake Butler, Florida, who passed away on April 13, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney and Merle Cason-Brown (Whitehead); his wife Billie Cason; and his brothers, Jesse M. Cason and Clifton Robert "Rob" Cason.

He is survived by: his children, Diane Holder of Newberry, David Scarborough (Mary) of Gainesville, Dean Scarborough (Nancy) of Gainesville and Beth Marie Cason of Anniston, AL; his nephews, Steve Cason of Charleston, SC and Scott Cason (Cindy) of Lake Butler; and his sister-in-law Margie F. Cason of Lake Butler. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
