With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arthur Julian Brown Jr. (Lake City, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 24, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Julian Brown, Sr. and Carrie Chambers Brown; his siblings, Lucille Brown and Carlton B. Brown; his wife Virginia Dare Morgan Brown; and his son Stanley "Stan" Jay Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Brown Lopez (Alex), Deonna Brown and Duane Brown; his grandchildren, Julian Morgan Fray (Michael), Dustin Brown, Travis Brown, Desiré Petrin, Michael "Mick" Petrin, Dylan Jay Petrin and Emily Shea; his great grandchildren, Dallin Jay Brown and Indie Morgan Fray; and his granddaughter Catie Bassler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints (909 SE Country Club Rd, Lake City, FL 32055). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025).
