He was predeceased by: his parents, Dowdy Witt and Florence Witt. He is survived by: his children, Tilda Bees (John) of Lake Wales, Connie Schepis of Brooksville and Tom Witt (Marsha) of Lake Wales; and his brother Billy Witt (Shirley) of Ardmore, Alabama. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
