She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Samms and Vanrice Edwards; her son Earl S. Gardner of Hartford, Connecticut; and her siblings, Deloris Wilks of Bloomfield, Connecticut, Fitzherbert Lewis of Jamaica and Reynold Ramsay of Hartford, Connecticut..
She is survived by: her son Shain Waugh; her grandchildren, Neha, Ryan, Winter, Liam and Daniel Waugh; her siblings, Paulette Morrison of Hartford, Dwight Edwards of Boise and Michael Edwards of Hartford, Connecticut; her niece Cassandra Skyers of Hartford, Connecticut; and her great-niece Deja Dewar. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Del Lago Chapel (131 S Lakeside Dr, Lake Worth, FL 33460).
