With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marieetta Joyce Butler of Lakeland, Florida, who passed away on April 20, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marieetta leaves upon our hearts remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Murray Dees and Ida Dees; her husband James Butler; and her children, Candy and Frankie.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Cemetery (3125 W Socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810).
