He was predeceased by : his son Joe R. Hill; his grandson Tyler Callaway; his parents, Willie Mae Johnson Hill and Billy Augusta Hill (B. A.); and his brothers, Johnson Hill and Billy A. Hill (Gus).
He is survived by : his wife Dorothe H. Hill of Elba; his daughters, Darleen Garcia (Lubin) and Ramona Chormann; his sister Martha Lois Mobley; and his grandchildren, Alyssia Totten (Scott), Nicole Richardson (Johnathan), Kylee Chormann and Kathrine Lopez (Chris).
