He was predeceased by: his parents, Longino De La Cruz and Helen Cervantes; his brothers, Longino De La Cruz, Jr. and Jimmy De La Cruz; and his daughters, Debra Chavez and Linda Martinez.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Trejo; his children, Alfred, Richard De La Cruz, Jr., Al De La Cruz, Monica Everson and Michelle Harris; his brother Daniel Cervantes; and his grandchildren, Celestino, Jeremy, Adrian, Gloria, Karina, Selena, Stephanie, Jaclyn, Michael, Nicholas, Jordan and Lauren. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
