He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Skinner and Leona Whidden Skinner; his wife Shirley Oglesby Skinner; his sister Wilda Skinner; and his son Robert Eugene Skinner, Jr..
He is survived by: his siblings, LaVerne Skinner Scott and Doyle Skinner (Sharon); his children, Cheryl Skinner-Marble (Jay), Randy Skinner (Kitty) and Darryl Skinner (Ruth); and his significant other Johanna Griffin Nutter. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
