He was predeceased by: his mother Effie Lola Shiver; his brothers, Raymond Gaston Shiver and William "Billy" Durwood Shiver; and his wife Elna Turner Shiver. He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda S. Mize and Beverly D. Chenault; his brother Donald Lee Shiver; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Hughes, Patrick Mize and Abigail Thieben. He is also survived by his three great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakeland Memorial Gardens (2125 Bartow Rd, Lakeland, FL 33801).
