He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederic Schachtman and Shirley Silvern. He is survived by: his wife Carol Schachtman (Slavinski); his siblings, Lesley Shilling (Paul), Todd Schachtman (Becky) and Michael Newton (Peter Sweet); and his stepsiblings, Bruce Linden and Margie Solomon.
