Cleveland Aston Rochester Obituary

Cleveland (Carl) Aston Rochester was born to the late Edith and Amies Rochester on August 29, 1930 in Kingston Jamaica.
Carl was the second of four children, Albert , Cleveland, Pearl and Cherry. Carl attended trade school in Jamaica learning carpenter, electrical and brick work. Carpenter was his specialty, he would tell us that he wanted to attend high school in Jamaica but carpentry work pay was too good.

Carl migrated to New York in 1965, married Alma in Brooklyn New York on May 1, 1965. Cleveland had 1 Child Tanya, raised David , Peter, his step son, Christopher his grandson, Leanoria, and Kerry his granddaughter that they adopted.

Carl’s Carpentry skills were always in demand. Carl retired in 1995 and migrated to Lehigh Acres Florida with his Wife Alma. .Carl had the ability to have a witty comeback for almost any conversation. You never knew what little puns he had waiting for the conversation, but you knew there would be one, followed by the laugh and smile you just knew he loved to show off.

Carl loved to travel and when he wasn’t working on someone’s roof or tiling a floor, he always found time for crushing or some getaway to relax.

Carl attended Saint Anselm Episcopal Church, and would do anything to help with repair to our Church. Carl served as the Usher’s coordinator for many years , Carl was also a member of Caribbean American Social Club of Lehigh Acres
