He is survived by : his sons, Phillip George Townsend, IV, Jason and Darrin Daniel Townsend of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Jan Smith of Wellborn, FL, Carol King of Atlanta, GA and Lesley Fry; and his half-brother Perry Burnett of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
