He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Beverly M. Figge; his children, Dori Hobbs (JR), Ann Luth (Torben), Jane Duncan (John "Jed") and Fred Figge (Carolyn); his grandchildren, John (Megan), Eric (Molly), Jackson, Nina, Masha, Katia Hobbs, Tim, Michael, Julie Kanter, Carsten, Mia Luth, Kyle, Cole, Grace Duncan, Freddy, Christopher and Owen Figge; and his sister Dorothy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "University of Illinois Foundation" for the Fred Figge Endowment Fund directly to Harker Hall MC 386, 1305 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801.
