With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Aletha E. Smith of Mims, Florida, born in Middletown, New York, who passed away on June 5, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aida Lea and Donald Burger Sr. Lea; and her siblings, Robert, Joseph, John, Elizabeth and Ruth.
She is survived by: her sons, Doug, Douglas Smith (Amy) of Oxford Al and Raymond Smith (Tammy) of Middletown; her pet Chi Chi; her grandchildren, Daniel Smith (Kelly), Jennifer Bathrick (Todd Hicks), Tara Smith and Matthew Smith; her great grandchildren, Brent Bathrick Jr. and Landon Morris; and her siblings, Donald Burger (Pat), Tom Burger and Joy Bird.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to a local volunteer fire department or animal shelter.
