She was predeceased by: her husband James Boyd Carpenter; her daughter Kay Carpenter Buffington; her parents, Evelyn Thornton Nye Popps and Raymond Nye; and her siblings, Beverly Nye Ryan, Jacquelyn Nye Lewis and Raymond Keith Nye.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gwendolyn Nye Norkett, Susan Sokolowski (Roy), Shannon Popps and Sherwood Popps (Paun); and her children, John A. Popps (Felicia), Nikki Thomas (Freddie) of Lake City, FL, Leslie Marquez (David) of Titusville, FL, LaDonna Matthews (Barry) of Kennesaw and Delane Ogden. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Billie's family requests donations in her name to Hospice of St. Francis in Titusville.
