She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Nelson and Fayetta Mae Nelson; and her husband Walter Baucom. She is survived by : her children, Shari Nelson, Anita Cauffield, Debora Cochran, Peggy McBride and Jeffrey Baucom (Anita); and her stepchildren, Kimber and Douglas Schweitzer. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, three siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
