He was predeceased by: his sister Rose Marie Wind. He is survived by: the fathers of children, Robert S. Wind and James P. Wind II; his daughter-in-law Diana S. Wind; his grandchildren, Savannah G. Wind, Annabella S. Wind and James Patrick Wind, III; his siblings, Suzanne Zuckerman and Kevin Wind; the mother of his children Denise Wind-Koubsky; and his son Peter J. Koubsky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
