The memory of Alberta Fitch of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, who passed away on September 8, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rolland R. Hickling and Merab E. Hickling (Harrington) of Edmeston, NY.; and her brothers, Rolland Jr. Hickling, Anthony (Marlea) and Vincent Hickling.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald (Donna), Edward, Stephen (Erin) and Michael (Denise); her siblings, Theresa Church, Melvina Friel (Hugh), Constance Zinger, Lawrence Hickling and Alton Hickling (Joan); her grandchildren, Michelle Coats (Michael), Jeremy Fitch (Dana), Matthew Fitch, John Fitch, Jennifer Hershey (Dennis), Amy Fitch and Justin Fitch (Kristin); her great grandchildren, Jenna Coats Kelly, Olivia Coats, Bristol Fitch, Brittany Hershey Sorn (Zach), Brianna Hershey, Blake Hershey, Seth Fagan, Adrianna Mason and Isaiah Fitch; and her great great grandchildren, Everest Sorn and Damion Fagan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the South Haven Christian Church (2430 Tomoka Farms Rd, Port Orange, FL 32128). A burial was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sea Pines Memorial Gardens (3001 S Ridgewood Ave, Edgewater, FL 32141).
She was also a supporter of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
