She was predeceased by : her parents, George Slater and Patrica Slater of Venice, FL. She is survived by : her close friend Frank Masura; her siblings, Wendy Slater of Venice, FL, Pamela Slater Flynn of New London, CT, Eric Slater of Sarasota, FL and Bruce Slater of Sarasota, FL; her nieces, Caitlin Flynn (Patrick Flynn), Caroline Flynn and Sarah Slater (Mary Slater); and also, Dan, Timothy and Marcy Maura.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 27th 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice (265 Nokomis Ave S, Venice, FL 34285). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 27th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
