We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2026, at the age of 96, Gaynelle Parrish Grizzard of North Palm Beach, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Umstead Parrish and Lessie McFarland Parrish; her husband Vernon Davis Grizzard; and her sisters, Claudia Louise Parrish, Janet Cranford and Betty Knott.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon Davis Grizzard, Jr. (Carol), Robert Umstead Grizzard (Joen), Bonnie Lou Grizzard and Linda Sue Grizzard Owens (Jim); her grandchildren, Robert Vernon Lees Grizzard (Lisa), James Parrish Owens (Cat), Vernon Davis Grizzard III (Violet), Mary Owens Ethridge (Ty), Jefferson Ellisor Grizzard (Molly) and Emily Chandler Grizzard Valdes (Teo); and her great grandchildren, Robert Patrick Grizzard, Marty James Ethridge, Emmy Lou Ethridge, James Parrish Owens Jr., Wilder Ellisor Valdes, Remy Paulo Valdes and Douglas Yong-Xiong Grizzard. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
