He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Covell and Wilma Covell (Knudson). He is survived by: his wife Colleen Talty (Phil); his children, Joseph Covell (Sharla Ricafort) and Lauren Bahr (Brian); and his sister Marsha Baghdadi (Sam). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
