It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Smith (Ocala, Florida), born in Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She is survived by: her children, Trudy Watford (Alan), Vicky Rodgers (Greg), Wendy Behar (Mike), Susan Fernandez (Nelson) and Mack Smith (Becky). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ocala East Chapel (2739 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, FL 34471).
