As we bid Maureen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maureen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Melia and Mary Melia of Brooklyn; her husband Gerard; and her sister Loretta Mildenberger. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Pacheco (Jorge) and Barbara; her grandsons, Evan and Alex; and her siblings, Kathleen, Margaret and Michael. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
