He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Louis Emerson and Jane Brogan; and his sisters, Anne Bannon and Kathleen Dickey (John). He is survived by : his siblings, Louis Jr. and Jane Doyle; his wife Alice Finore; his sons, James E. Brogan Jr. (Sarah) and Jeffrey A. Brogan (Vanessa Waldref); and his grandchildren, Erin, Jimmy, John, Dominic, Forrest, Sam, Dahlia, Catherine, Claire and Alice.
