He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Emig, Sr. and Margaret Grace "Bebe" Emig. He is survived by: his son MSgt Matthew Emig; his grandchildren, Aspen of Cheyenne, WY, Gwendalyn of Cheyenne, WY and Liliana of Cheyenne, WY; his daughter MSgt Andrea Emig; his siblings, John W. Emig, Jr. of Panama City and Sara J. Moody; and his siblings' children, John Moody and Sara Moody-Wilhelm of Gettysburg, PA..
