She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Hood and Lucy Walden Hood; her husband George M. Reece, Jr.; her sons, Robert Reece (Sandra) and Eddie Reece (Arlene); her grandchildren, Eric Reece, Melissa Pender (Joe), Stephen Reece (Ashly) and Casey Lunceford (Brian); and her siblings, Jimmy Hood (Linda), Jerry Hood (Barbara), Colan Hood, Clayton Hood (Brenda), Mary Nell Barnes and Helen Cobb.
