He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Cromwell and Wimona Howard Taunton; his children, Cameron Cromwell Taunton and Mary Belle Taunton Reese; and his siblings, Murnice Taunton Gaskin, Evelyn Taunton Porter, Howard Cromwell Taunton and Pierce Linwood Taunton.
He is survived by: his grandson Finley; his wife Sandra Harper Taunton; his sons, Andrew Taft Taunton (Dana), Rodney Scott Adams (Gwynne) of Denham Springs, Louisiana and Tom Chapeau (Linda) of Omaha, Nebraska; his sister-in-law Shin Taunton; and his grandchildren, Sunshine Maddux (Graham), Sabra, Paul Du Chateau, Ginny Reese, Cooper Reese (Jennifer), Melanie Mc Gougin (Monte), Aimee Drummond (Doran), Brandee Crawford (Wayne), Casee Adams, Andrew Chapeau (Monica) and Katherine Prochazki Cory Fulcher.
