We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2024, at the age of 86, Anna Yvonne Bass in Pensacola, Florida, born in Century, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Belinda; her parents, Don Newton and Mae Bell Newton; and her sister Mary Voncile Hall. She is survived by: her husband Hugh; her daughter Kimberly McMurray (Doug); her grandchildren, Brandon McMurray (Christa) and Ashton McMurray; and her siblings, Donnie Mae White, John Newton (Charlotte) and Dewayne Newton (Becky). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Me and Belinda and Kimberly's 1960s childhood holiday get together's at memaw and papaw's, Aunt Yvonne always made incredibly special for us children. My mom "Doris" was from Century also. And 3 of my and my uncle Hugh's direct Bass father's Samuel (Hugh's grandfather), George and George are buried with headstone's in Elmore County Alabama. Uncle Hugh's dad my grandfather NELSON was forced here at 5 when his mom MAMIE GANTT BASS was killed at 25. My 1960s memories of Aunt Yvonne are a Blessing.”
