He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne Newton; his daughter Belinda; his parents, Nelson Bass and Elizabeth Bass; and his brothers, Robert and Billy Bass.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly McMurray (Doug); his grandchildren, Brandon McMurray (Christa) and Ashton McMurray; his great grandchild Kendall McMurray; his siblings, Edward Bass, James Bass (Tanya) and Carol McGaha; and his siblings-in-law, Donnie White, John Newton (Charlotte) and Dewayne Newton (Becky). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel (2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32504). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bayview Memorial Park (3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32503).
