She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph B. Pinner and Mattie Pinner (Weatherly); and her brother Col. William Pinner (Benjamin F. "Frank" Burgess, Jr.). She is survived by: her husband Benjamin F. "Frank" Burgess, Jr. (Naval Aviator); and her sister JoAnn Foreman of Elizabeth City, NC.. She is also survived by her three children; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
