He is survived by: his wife Gail Fuller Higdon; his children, Jerome Higdon (Crystal), Sam Higdon (Linda), Stephen Wilson (Vonnie), Allen Wilson (Lea), Dewanna Shelton (Claude), Tammy Johnson (Jeff) and Debbie Steele (Jason); and his siblings, Lavelda Floyd, Loretta Hawkins (Edgar), Marcella Higdon, Tolitha Bowden (Bruce) and Joe Higdon (Pat). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews.
