She was predeceased by: her parents, William Raymond and Mildred Lee Yates (Wilson); her husband Clyde Jerome Skinner; her former husband Philip Whelchel; and her brothers, E. Wilson Yates, E. Frank Yates and W. Robert Yates.
She is survived by: her children, Hickory Level, Steve Whelchel of Orlando and Gina Whelchel (Scott) of Atlanta; her granddaughters, Poppy and Matilda; her sisters, Catherine West of Bremen, GA and Malline Austin of Fayetteville, GA; and her stepchildren, Sheree, Jerry Jr., Cheryl and Phillip. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
