He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mack Bass, Sr. and Earnestine Bass (Coney); and his child Lauren Bass. He is survived by: his children, Erica Bass, Pamela Joe (Ernest Joe, III), William Bass and Rachel Bass; his wife Veronica A. Bass (Beasley); his grandchildren, Eden, Ella, Emani and Ezekiel Joe; and his siblings, Veta Johnson, Monica Smith (Ray), Vincent Bass (Dorothy), Ronnie Bass and Jacqueline Bass. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend.
