It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Randolph Brown Jr. of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Randolph Brown, Sr. and Myra Louise Boynton Brown; his sisters, Myra B. Cook and Nancy L. Brown; and his nephews, Billy Chester and Brett Kosiba.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Campbell Brown; his children, James R. Brown, III (Lisa Newbern) and Kathryn B. Schafer (Mac); his grandchildren, Hunter Schafer, Hannah Schafer, Tory Schafer, Marissa Brown, Skye Schafer and Griffin Brown; his sisters, Barbara Kosiba (David Peedin) and Nancy Ballard (Paul); and his siblings' children, Elizabeth Owen, Ronnie Veal, Mike Cook, Dan Cook, Randy Cook and Jeff Kosiba.
