Dianne May Renusch May 11, 1943 - May 30, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dianne May (Passarell) Renusch (Port Charlotte, Florida), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 30, 2024 at Faucet Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dianne May (Passarell) Renusch to pay them a last tribute.
Though Dianne has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love and energy that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends. May their spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of her memory.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, attended Mt. Calvary Elementary school and graduated from Denby High School. Dianne spent her early years living with her parents and brother on Cedargrove and grew up with close relationships with her aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dianne met her soulmate through friends in 1960 and married Raymond C. Renusch on October 21, 1961. They were married for 62 wonderful years. She raised two children Daniel Renusch (Liz Renusch), and Sheryl Einhardt (preceded in death by Jack Einhardt), Dianne loved her grandchildren Shannon Einhardt (Robbie Ferrari) and Katerina Renusch, and had a very close relationship with her great grandchild Camden Ferrari; Dianne is preceded in death by her parents Oscar Passarell and Maragaret (Bannasch) Passarell, brother Wayne Passarell (survived by Margueritte), and many nieces and nephews that she stayed in contact with until her death.
Dianne loved spending time with friends and family. She and Ray developed close relationships with couples with similar interests. They enjoyed dinning together at various restaurants and traveling on cruises together.
Dianne was a waitress at many restaurants throughout her career, she worked at Stouffers, the Cadeiux Cafe and on the top of the Renaissance Center in Detroit, just to name a few. She also worked at Winklemans department store and usually spent her paychecks on her never-ending wardrobe.
Dianne loved to travel, from summer and winter trips to Houghton Lake, Niagara Falls, Holland, Las Vegas; they cruised to many tropical islands and did a European cruise. She loved to cook old recipes she learned from her mother and aunts.
Dianne dabbled in many different types of work after she left the restaurant business. She was a sales representative for the popular home party companies, Avon, Sarah Coventry, Tupperware, and Party Lite. She always enjoyed meeting new people and used these companies to keep busy and earn some fun money for travel and play.
Dianne and Ray retired to Florida in 2002, purchasing their first condo at Lakes Edge Community in Port Charlotte, then moving to Lake Suzy, finding their forever home at North Shore Condominium Community. It had everything, a lake, a farm right across the street with many farm animals to walk over to and feed, a pool, a community garden and many friends to socialize with. She was passionate and involved with organizations such as... Grannies for Grass, MOCC Compassion Club, Red Hat Society, North Shore and Lakes Edge Ladies guild and an advocate for medical marijuana and legalization. Her advocating for medical marijuana stemmed from trying to find an alternative to the addicting pharmaceuticals to alleviate and manage the chronic pain she endured from her severe scoliosis.
Dianne was fun and full of energy and was never afraid to speak her mind to say the least. She was the CEO (lady in charge) and Ray was her ever faithful right hand man. They had a beautiful life together. She will be forever missed. Until we all meet again.
