He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Chapman and Mildred Chapman (Reid); his wife Evelyn Sylvia (Lantto); his granddaughter-in-law Lucille Sunnarborg; his great grandchild Jemima Sunnarborg; and his siblings, Paul Chapman, Arthur Chapman, Barbara Blake and Jean Schneider.

He is survived by : his children, Gayle Hovis (Norman), Barry Chapman (Rebecca), Bonnie Sunnarborg (Mark), Colleen Sunnarborg (Michael) and Betsy Bertram (Marlon); his brothers, Charles Chapman (Ellen), Donald Chapman (Gertrude) and Ronald Chapman (Linda); and his sister-in-law Carol Chapman. He is also survived by daughters and (1) son.
