With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jemima Detweiler of Port Charlotte, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Hochstetler and Iva Hochstetler; her siblings, Levi Hochstetler, Herman Hochstetler and Esther Yoder; and her siblings-in-law, Esther Hochstetler, JoAnn Hochstetler, Wayne Miller, Earl Sommers and Andy Kurtz.
She is survived by: her children, Tamara Oswald (Donnie) of Bunker Hill, Ohio, Stephan Schrock (Ernalene) of Mansfield, Ohio, Shona Miller (Dennis) of Port Charlotte, Florida and Darlene Mast (Todd) of Mansfield, Ohio.; her siblings, Elva Sommers of Hartville, Ohio, Malinda Kurtz of Hartville, Ohio, LydiaAnn Miller of Millersburg, Ohio, Mable Sommers (Jonas) of Sarasota, Florida, Harvey Hochstetler Jr. of Sugarcreek, Ohio and Barbara Oswald (Larry) of Killbuck; and her siblings-in-law, Alvin Yoder of Sarasota and Kathy Hochstetler of Mogadore, Ohio..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bedrock Sarasota Church (Southside Baptist Church) (2035 Magnolia St, Sarasota, FL 34239). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
