He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Stockdale (Griffith) and Milford Stockdale (Lola Stockdale); and his siblings, Maryann Williams (Ted) and Irving Robert Stockdale. He is survived by: his friends, Chuck Hull, Paul Grigsby, Del Pendley, Jeff Pollock and Don Windsor; his wife Mary; his daughter Saralyn Stockdale Lawn; his son-in-law John Lawn; his grandson Grant Lawn; his son Mark Stockdale; his brother Ray Stockdale (Marie); his stepchildren, Margery Pyle (Clarke) of Amy Foxworth, A. J, Rodgers, Sr. (Alani), Joseph Rodgers (Jeannine) and Jeanne Wegman; his stepgrandchildren, James, Paul Rodgers, A. J. Jr., Anthony Rodgers, Matthew, Drew Wegman and Karli Foxworth; his nieces and nephews, Cyndy Mantini (Louis), Nathan Williams, Tammy Dampier (Clyde), Steve Stockdale (Robyn), Mike Stockdale (Jerri), Kristin Stockdale (Eric) and Karmon Clay (Jason); and his stepgreat-grandson Mateo Foxworth.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel (2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948).
