She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith and Nettie Smith; her husband Calvin E. Medlin; her children, Lib Hobbs and James Medlin; and her siblings, Regina, Charlotte, Marcus, Carroll and Gerald.
She is survived by: her sons, Calvin Richard Medlin and Scott Medlin (Cindy); and her grandchildren, Lisa Dahm and Rick Medlin. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
