With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mother Annie Nickson (Port Saint Joe, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmit Otis Nickson and Mamie Lou Nickson; her son-in-law Edward Hill; her granddaughter LaTosha Arthur; her great grandchild LaTazsha Arthur; and her siblings, Dorothy Nickson, Shirley Brown, James Nickson and Clinton Nickson.
She is survived by: her children, Mitchell Nickson Sr., Jeffery Gainer and Barbara Ann Hill; her grandchildren, Carmen Hill, Trubias Hill, Tanesha McClelland (Michael), Shari Nickson-Rodgers (Joseph), Mitchell Nickson Jr. (Dominisha) and Denard Nickson (Jasmin); her great grandchildren, Alaina McClelland, Alasia McClelland, Shanyah McCotter, Joseph Rodgers, Jo'Kobe Rodgers, Aiden Nickson, Amir Nickson, Alani Nickson, Kaori Nickson, Elianna Nickson, Harmony Nickson, Chyenne Arthur and Makyia Arthur; her siblings, Emmit Nickson (Tanis), Donald Nickson (Jackie), Gary Rolack, Voncile Nickson, Mertice Dawson, Clementine Nickson and Linda Hill (Gene); her godchildren, Valerie Hamilton James, Bella Chambers, Raiden Chambers and Kylo Chambers; and her niece Erin Hill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church (274 Ave D, Port St Joe, FL 32456). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Body of Christ Jesus Church-Port St (106 Harbor St, Port St Joe, FL 32456). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (Twine Rd, Port St Joe, FL 32456). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the WIG Center - Port St (401 Peters St, Port St Joe, FL 32456).
