He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gibeley and Dolores Gibeley; and his sisters, Amy Ogden and Cindy Gibeley. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Gibeley; his stepson Paul Lunga of Chesapeake, Virginia.; and his extended family, Estelle, Robert Colgan of Cummaquid, Massachusetts, Jeff Gibeley of Peabody, Massachusetts, Wendy, Adam Werner of Otisfield, Maine, Beth Gibeley, Ron Nordin of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Alison Gibeley of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Alan, Christina Gibeley of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Mark Gibeley of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Melissa Gibeley of Swampscott, Massachusetts, Stephanie, Matt Maloney of Topsfield, Massachusetts, Monica and Todd Sunderland of Bluffton. He is also survived by his twenty-nine nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service Tribute Center (2041 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Joseph Gibeley's name to the American Cancer Society, a tribute to the strength with which he faced his illness and a hope for those still fighting.
