Joseph Wilcox Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Wilcox Jr. of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wilcox, Sr. and Hazel Bower (Fiant); his stepfather Herbert Bower; his sisters, Carole Kemle and Barbara Hedges; his stepbrother Lowell Bower; his stepchildren, Brenda McClain-Ramey and Larry McClain; and his brother-in-law Sherm Timmins.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Ford of Las Vegas, NV., Christa Slagle of Las Vegas, NV., Joseph Mark Wilcox (Brenda), Tracy Wilcox (Arancha) of Alicante and Amy Wilcox of Eustis, FL.; his stepchildren, Carol Heald (Dick) of Utica, Randy McClain of Willards, MD., Beatrice Mitchell (Bill) of Cookesville, TN. and Beverly Wilcox (Todd) of Wellsville, KS; his sister Janet Timmins; and his stepsiblings, Nancy Reese and John Bower. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Service - Galion Chapel (303 Portland Way N, Galion, OH 44833). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Korean War Veterans Association Treasure Coast Chapter 106; 573 Nw Montevina Dr, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34986-1704., or any other organization of the donor's preference.
