He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schaefer and Helen Schaefer; his brother Oscar Schaefer; his former wife Kathleen Schaefer; and his son Jason Schaefer.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schaefer (Rooker) of Port St; his children, James Schaefer (Donna Everett) of High Springs, Florida, Jennifer Grandpre of Port St and Donna Blake (Andrew) of Jensen Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Anthony Schaefer of Port St, Cody Grandpre of Connecticut, Amanda Everett of High Springs, Heather Calaway of Stuart, Florida, Amanda Lyke of Piedmont, Quentin Rooker of Aztec, Corbin Blake of Jensen Beach, Florida. and Adalyn Blake of Jensen Beach, Florida.; and also Germany.
