He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Prate and Verta Prate; his son Ralph Joseph; and his siblings, Marie and Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Madonna Sue Prate; and his son Daniel Vincent Prate Sr.. He is also survived by 7 siblings, 7 grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
