He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elisa Grenville (Belisle) and Thomas Grenville; his siblings, Thomas, Dennis Grenville and Lorraine Welsh; his wife Carol Grenville (Davenport); his daughters, Caryn Shanahan (Bernard) and Stacey Potempa (Gregory); his grandchildren, Bridget Kneeland (Steve), Kyle Shanahan (Cal), Michael Potempa, Morgan Duryea (Ethan) and Marc Potempa; and his siblings, Theodore Grenville of Malone, NY, Madeline Reece of Youngstown, NY and Sandra Grenville of Alleghany, NY. He was also cherished by 2 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Family Church (Port Charlotte, FL), Salvation Army, or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
