She was predeceased by: her husband Don Ortman; her mother Helen Couch Karalus of St. Cloud; her grandparents, Charlie, Nettie Couch of Elkin and Helen Karalus of Minnesota; and her father Karl.

She is survived by: her aunt Hattie Couch Walls of Elkin; and also, Scrabble, Wylie, Tinker and Kitty-Kitty. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
