He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Spangler and Rowena Spangler (Bowers); and his brother Errell Conway Spangler (Buddy) of Fredericksburg Virginia. He is survived by: his spouse Augusta Mae Spangler (Carter); his children, Jimmy, Earl Spangler (Fawn) and Donna Underwood (Joe); and his sisters, Jean Ramsey, Judy Hines, June Campbell and Janice Robertson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
