She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Goodrich Penland and Nettie Whittimore Penland; her husband Jack Lawrence; and her brother Thomas Goodrich Penland, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Ronald Lawrence. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
