He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Black and Ruby Black (Carter); his wife Mary Black of Virginia; his brothers, Samson and William Black; and his grandchildren, Micah Vargas and Jamie May.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy, Timmy, Johnny Ray Black, Wiley Jasper Black, Katherine Lenice Vargo, Timothy James Black and Bobby Joe Black; and his siblings, Julian, Roy Black and Marion York.
